Learn in One Minute, They Will be Useful for The Rest of Your life

Have you ever asked what something that you can learn in one minute that will be useful for the rest of your life? My \answers are gonna be...

Learn to write a self-assessment

In my case, it allows me to re-examine my achievements and performances in all aspects of my life. I categorized them into one-day achievement, last-month achievement, last year achievement, and other columns filled with ways to improve myself in the future, what could I have done better, some achievements to add, some skill to add, etc.

It works like this:

Force a smile when you feel stress, flustered, or bored.

It doesn’t even take one minute, just 10 seconds to force a smile, and scientifically proven that it reducing stress. I personally had some mood management issues, and this is one of my techniques for getting my boredom, and stress under control.

Learn to use shortcuts on your keyboard.

These are my list of most frequently used shortcuts. They work almost everywhere, and can help you to be more productive.

Learn to rest your eyes, by making this site as your home page: Protect Our Vision

I found this website to be very helpful to protect our eyes from laptop screen. After each 20 minutes, you'll be prompted with a sound and an option to take rest for 20 seconds. If you click that option, your browser will enter full screen mode for 20 seconds.

This is a great way to prevent eye strain as we often forget to rest our eyes.

Use a pause, instead a “but”.

This word (but) makes your apology sounds artificial, and makes your sentence before “but” doesn’t count. I am also still learning this one, just already excited to care more about what I am going to say with others.

E.g.
I hope I could be able to attend the meeting, but I had deadlines.
I hope I could be able to attend the meeting (pause). I had deadlines.

The first sentence sounds like an excuse in a smooth way. The second sentence has more emphasizing the decision.

Learn to bookmark some useful websites.

Do you still need to learn how to bookmark a website? Press the star icon either on Chrome or Mozilla, or just press Ctrl + D.

I will list down some websites on my bookmark bar.

  1. Very interesting blog. A lot of blogs I see these days don't really provide anything that attract others, but I'm most definitely interested in this one. Just thought that I would post and let you know.
